Jeanie Buss remains controlling owner of Lakers after battle with brothers

It looks like the Buss family drama has subsided. For now.

Jeanie Buss has been confirmed as controlling owner of the Lakers, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Jeanie and her brothers, Johnny and Jim, have been in a battle to control the team. The three agreed that Jeanie would be the controlling owner and on the team’s board of directors as long as the Lakers stay within the Buss family.

The Busses reportedly went to a Los Angeles judge on Monday morning to iron out the details and have the agreement in writing.

For Stevens, an Indianapolis native who led Butler to consecutive national championship game appearances in 2010 and 2011, this rebuffing of Indiana is becoming a sort of annual address.

In 2014: “I’ve committed to being here. I’ve already left a situation once and that was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to choose to do. This is something that as long as they want me to be here, this is what I want to be doing, and I’m going to give it everything I’ve got. I know it’s all specific to the rumor mills and the discussion of one spot. I think they’ve got a good coach (Tom Crean) who’s done a hell of a job (at Indiana). He doesn’t deserve that speculation.”

In 2015: “I don’t put any stock into (the reports). Very rarely do Nike NFL Jerseys From China people even ask me about it. Even when we went on those runs at Butler, with that winning and with those players playing as well as they did and with that attention, the thing to talk about after the season is where those coaches are going.”

In 2020, I assume: “Jeez, guys, I’ve already turned down 72 college coaching offers, including Duke, UNC and Kansas, and even rejected becoming the chairman of the Patriots Cheap Jerseys NCAA! I! Am! Not! Going! Back! To! College!”
