Aaron Hernandez’s double-murder trial delayed by Boston snowstorm

Severe winter weather will push back jury selection in the double-homicide trial of former Patriots star Aaron Hernandez, which was set to begin Monday.

With the Boston metro area bracing for as much as 12 inches of snowfall by Monday afternoon, jury selection in the trial will likely be delayed until Thursday, a spokesman for the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office announced.

Lynch told NFL Network’s Michael Silver that his daughter cried when she heard the news.

“I think the toughest one — I haven’t told this yet to the media — all my kids took it really well,” Lynch said. “They were shocked but they took it really well. My 9-year-old started bawling, and she’s not that girl. She’s the one that was always happy. And she was crying, and I said, ‘What’s wrong, Leah? Are you afraid? Is there some nervous anxiety about moving?’ And she said, ‘No daddy,’ and she was sobbing.

“And I said, ‘What’s wrong?’ And she said, ‘The 49ers are horrible.’ So, I said, ‘Well, I Cheap Jerseys Soccer think that’s why they hired your daddy.'”

Young Leah knows her football, because the 2-14 49ers were the NFL’s version of a dumpster fire this season, with holes on both sides of the ball. Lynch and new head coach Kyle Shanahan face an epic task in the Bay Area.
